Kayla Gauthier
Kayla is a licensed Peer Recovery Support Specialist and a Certified Recovery Coach. She worked at Lund for two years as a Residential Counselor and was promoted in her second year to Residential Shift Supervisor. In that role, she supported mothers in a residential setting with their children on their path to sobriety and rebuilding foundational relationships with their children. She also supervised residential staff and served as the weekend events coordinator.
She then worked in Developmental Services at the Howard Center for a year, supporting and supervising staff who aided individuals with developmental disabilities. During that time, she recognized that working with people on their journey to sobriety was her calling—which led her to TPCCC. She utilized TPCCC at the beginning of her own recovery in 2023 and 2024, with the “nooner” being her favorite group. Her sobriety date is January 16, 2023.
Her key skills include crisis management, de-escalation, leadership, compassionate care, holding space, advocacy, creativity and whimsy in the workplace, as well as a strong ambition and drive to excel in her role. She is deeply dedicated to supporting those who need help the most.
Her son gives her life meaning and motivates her to continue growing as both a person and a mother. She feels the same about her partner, Daniel. As a family, they enjoy trying new things and exploring their surroundings. They love to travel and visit family in Greece whenever possible, with a trip planned for April. She also enjoys spending time with her best friend Mars, playing with her cats, reading books, and occasionally developing a hyper-fixation on a niche video game.
