An open AA meeting that meets from 12:00 - 1:00 pm, seven days a week, in person at the Center. This group welcomes all newcomers with open arms, and the format is usually “LD” ie, literature/discussion. This means that the meeting begins with a reading from a book that is part of the Alcoholics Anonymous library, followed by an open discussion of the reading and anything else related to the topic of recovery.
Do you worry about how much someone drinks? Join us for weekly Al-Anon meetings at the Center (179 S. Winooski Ave, Burlington, VT). Al-Anon is a mutual support program for people whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking. Learn more about Al-Anon by visiting there website, or email Andrew for more information.
This is a time for parents and children to come into the center from 5-7. We will talk about struggles and get support from other parents. We will choose topics around being parents in recovery and give others a chance to support one another from past experiences. Join us for a fun, relaxed, and supportive space for people that want to get creative with words and storytelling. There will be prompts and available journals for guests to use. Instead of striving for perfection, use this space to be unpredictable and fuel your imagination. This workshop is for anyone in recovery or connected to someone in recovery, but the writing is not necessarily focused on drug and alcohol issues.
A support group for family and friends whose lives have been affected by the disease of addiction with a loved one. This is a hybrid meeting held by the Families Coping with Addiction group every Wednesday at 5:30 pm, with an in-person session at the Turning Point Center of Chittenden County together.
