I wanted to share a quick update on Riding For Recovery and where things are at.

The biggest shift is timing. The departure date has been pushed to November, and honestly, it is for a really good reason. I was given the opportunity to attend massage school with free tuition, something I could not pass up. It has been an incredible experience so far, and it feels deeply aligned with the spirit of this whole project: healing, connection, and being of service. I will be graduating in November, and from there I will be getting on the bike and heading south.

In the meantime, things are continuing to come together behind the scenes. I recently received a very generous donation from an anonymous donor which allowed me to get some key pieces of gear dialed in. The bike is now outfitted with a GPS system, a communication setup, and a tank bag. Small things on the surface, but all essential for making a trip like this possible, especially through more remote parts of Central America.

I have also been spending time mapping out the route. A big priority is making sure I am traveling as safely and intentionally as possible, especially once I get further south.

There is still a lot to figure out, but it is all moving in the right direction. I am really grateful to be in this process and for all of the support that continues to show up around it.

More soon,
Alex
