This in-person recovery yoga class offers a unique blend of mindfulness, movement, and community support. All students and teachers are in recovery, all forms of recovery, and at all stages of their journey. An open AA meeting that meets from 12:00 - 1:00 pm, seven days a week, in person at the Center. This group welcomes all newcomers with open arms, and the format is usually “LD” ie, literature/discussion. This means that the meeting begins with a reading from a book that is part of the Alcoholics Anonymous library, followed by an open discussion of the reading and anything else related to the topic of recovery.
A support group for family and friends whose lives have been affected by the disease of addiction with a loved one. This is a hybrid meeting held by the Families Coping with Addiction group every Wednesday at 5:30 pm, with an in-person session at the Turning Point Center of Chittenden County together. Recovery Dharma is a peer-led movement and community unified by our trust in each person’s potential to recover and find freedom from the suffering of addiction. We believe that the traditional Buddhist teachings—often referred to as the Dharma—offer a powerful approach to healing from addiction and living a life of true freedom.
