This group welcomes all newcomers with open arms, and the format is usually “LD” ie, literature/discussion. This means that the meeting begins with a reading from a book that is part of the Alcoholics Anonymous library, followed by an open discussion of the reading and anything else related to the topic of recovery.

    Stand Up for Recovery 2026 Join us for Stand Up for Recovery 2026 — an uplifting evening of comedy, connection, and community hosted by the Turning Point Center of Chittenden County. This annual fundraiser brings people together to celebrate the power of recovery, reduce stigma, and raise critical funds for recovery and mental health services. Held at the iconic Main Street Landing on the Burlington waterfront, the event features live stand-up comedy, a silent auction, and a raffle — all in support of the Turning Point Center’s mission to offer hope and healing to individuals and families affected by substance use.     A support group for family and friends whose lives have been affected by the disease of addiction with a loved one.
