Our Mission

The Turning Point Center of Chittenden County is a dedicated, compassionate community that provides recovery support services in a safe, substance-free environment for individuals and families on multiple paths to self-discovery and sustained recovery.

Open on Weekends!

Our normal hours of operation are from 9:00am-5:00pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with some extended hours for groups and meetings.

Our groups and programs meet in person and online. For the latest information, explore our resources, view our printable weekly schedule to see current groups and wellness programs, or browse our searchable annual calendar for more details. If you have questions or would like to speak with a peer staff member, please call the Center at 802-861-3150.

Parents in Recovery Program

The Parents in Recovery Program carves out a safe, judgment-free space for parents, in recovery, to connect and bridge the gap between their sobriety and community. By connecting mothers, fathers, and their children to a wide variety of services, participants of the program are able to grow their sobriety and form healthy relationships.

Recovery Coaches in the Center

Recovery Coaches are here to support you in creating a personalized vision for your recovery journey. They help you define your goals and make consistent progress toward achieving them. Together, you and your Coach will explore strategies and resources that will best support your success.

Recovery Peer Support Specialist Program

Recovery Peer Support Specialists are sober individuals who entered recovery in a variety of ways and serve as direct support for those seeking advice or guidance in solving the various hurdles that may arise while seeking out their own sustained recovery.

Recovery Coaches in the Emergency Department

Emergency Department Recovery Coaches draw on their own long-term recovery experience to connect with others similarly affected by addiction. Their first-hand knowledge allows them to provide substantive connections and powerful support on everything from resource referrals for mental health, detox, housing, job, family, financial, community support and more.

What Our Guests Have To Say About Us

I have both mental illness and alcoholism. I don’t work that much or go to school so instead of spending 24 hours in my apartment, I come here to make friends, be useful, and hopefully find recovery from my self-destructive behaviors.

The Turning Point for me has been a healthy, safe, and positive environment to spend my time, reflect, and gain help and support. The Center brings a great opportunity to meet sober people and mingle among the sober community – something that is essential to my recovery. The Turning Point offers so much more than a chance for sobriety. The staff is helpful and wonderful, and I enjoy myself each time I visit.

- Jon

A great place to hang-out, especially in early recovery. You can meet new people who have a common goal, and get connected to a new community of clean individuals on their own paths to recovery.
