Help us reach our goal of $100,000 in 100 days!
To offset COVID-19 impacts on the Turning Point Center
While closed physically, the Turning Point Center of Chittenden County staff have been calling guests and providing recovery peer support, recovery coaching, and have loaded up our website to display all the Zoom offerings for 12 step meetings, family support meetings, and recovery community yoga classes.
These offerings have allowed us to maintain our relationships with guests and help individuals sustain their recovery. Our Recovery Peer Support Specialists have been able to make 171 phone contacts with guests in May 2020. That is a similar number to when we were open before the pandemic.
However, the pandemic has caused us to have to cancel our major fundraising event, the Circle of Stars Benefit Dinner, and do a virtual Comedy Night for Recovery instead of an in-person event. These two events are pivotal in raising funds for the TPCCC to provide free recovery services to those in need.
We stand to lose $100,000 if we do nothing. Help us Make a Difference in 100 Days.
