We are looking for a Moms in Recovery Program Coordinator
The “Moms in Recovery” Program Coordinator manages the project at the Turning
Point Center of Chittenden County (TPCCC). This includes providing information and
peer support to individuals; coordinating or facilitating peer support groups; developing
and maintaining relationships with community partners; and helping program
participants identify and apply to other community resources.
The Coordinator also develops marketing materials, tracks program data, writes
monthly grant reports as required by the terms of the grant from the State of Vermont
Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Programs (ADAP). The Coordinator will also
cooperate with the Moms programs at other recovery centers. The position is a full-time
position of 40 hours/week and reports to the Associate Director of the TPCCC.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate, implement, and deliver direct recovery support services to
pregnant/parenting women individually and in groups at the TPCCC (approximately
50%); - Provide a minimum of 12 group offerings monthly;
- Develop and disseminate information about the Moms in Recovery Program to
partner community organizations; - Develop and assist referral pathways to and from partner agencies/services for program
participants; - Identify additional local recovery supports and connect program participants, as
needed (i.e., harm reduction, prenatal services, ADAP Treatment Guide and
Directory, telephone recovery support services, etc.); - Connect program participants with Recovery Coach services;
- Track and report monthly data and progress;
- Complete all grant deliverables as required;
- Undertake other duties as assigned.
Requirements - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge and understanding of the recovery community needs, particularly as to
the needs and challenges of pregnant and parenting women and the ability to
develop trust and identify with participants and community resource providers - An outgoing personality to proactively encourage participants and partner
organizations - The ability to work independently to carry out project activities and objectives
- The ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
- Good organizational skills
The position carries a preference for an individual who is a mom and who has been in
recovery for at least three years.
